Ultimate TikTok Video Checklist for Lawyers

This checklist is for those recording your videos on TikTok!

Ultimate Tiktok Guide

Before Recording:

  • Write a script about a topic your audience cares about.

  • Write the script so the first sentence of the video gets to the point of the video immediately.

  • There’s no industry jargon in your script. P.S. you cannot name forms in your videos.

  • You practiced the script before recording.

  • Test a small clip to see if the sound is good.

Recording:

  • You are in a well-lit room.

  • You have a tidy background.

  • You’re clearly seen in the frame. There is space above your head, and you can see your torso.

  • You are not reading your script.

  • You are enthusiastic and come off as an industry leader.

Editing:

  • There’s a straightforward video title with at least one keyword.

  • There’s no industry jargon in your video. For example, do not name forms in your videos.

  • Add captions that fit the center of the video so it doesn’t get cut off.

  • Add a few hashtags related to your video's topic and the people you want it to reach.

Publishing:

  • You can add a location to your video to reach a specific location.

  • Choose the “thumbnail” of the video.

  • Download the video before publishing so you can repurpose it for other platforms.
